Catarina and the Pueblos blancos

Catarina is a wonderful town overlooking the Laguna de Apoyo. Its main attraction is the breathtaking viewpoint over the whole lake, with the city of Granada and the lake Nicaragua in the background.
Close by are the Pueblos Blancos, center of the local artisans. Watch locals create handcrafted pottery and buy your souvenirs directly from the artists.
https://kasinoluotsi.com reading about the viewpoint over Laguna de Apoyo reminded me how underrated the quieter, smaller towns around Granada tend to be compared to the city itself. Buying pottery straight from the artisans in the Pueblos Blancos also seems like a far better way to actually support local families than picking up the same pieces at a market stall. I'd probably plan a whole afternoon for that route just to see how the styles differ from village to village.
