Laguna de Apoyo
The Apoyo Lagoon Natural Reserve protects a volcanic lake occupying the caldera of an extinct volcano. The reserve houses a tropical dry forest ecosystem with a flora covering over 500 species of plants and tropical dry trees. The fauna consists of mammals such as squirrels, opossums and howler monkeys, over 200 species of birds and 200 species of butterflies. The warm undersea fumaroles feed the healing waters and the cool air makes this a hotspot for peace-seeking travelers.
Spend a day lying in a hammock, reading the book you never had time to open back home, listening to the sounds of nature, kayaking through the clear water. And if you feel adventurous book a hiking or diving session with one of our partners
